It has been a while since I've posted. Firstly, a very happy birthday to the ever-gorgeous
minn. For those that have not yet had the pleasure of reading of reading her journal, Minnie is a wonderful illustrator, writer, photographer and fellow chocoholic and foodie.
One of the reasons for not posting regularly to any of my blogs/journals is that I'm still busy travelling between Melbourne and Canberra. Above is a photo of part of Melbourne city that I took a few weeks back with my handbag camera. I'm loving the laid back style of Melbourne. It's a huge city (nearly as big as Sydney) with nearly 4 million people living there, yet it doesn't have the same rush-rush-rush feel of Sydney. It feels a lot more cosmopolitan and much more arty. My kind of city :) I'm also loving the opportunities that I'm getting in spending time with my cousins (
ablazegal and another cousin who doesn't blog/lj and who I don't get to see him as frequently due to his working hours). I also have many friends to catch up with in Melbourne but am still not having quite enough time to catch up with all of them!
Melbourne has such interesting architecture. My photographer eye keeps capturing all these details that I want to photograph, such as the gargoyles on various buildings. I need to come back for a holiday so I can have my photography gear with me.
I saw the dentist on Friday for my annual check up and clean, although I think it's been closer to two years since I last saw her. She's identified an issue with my teeth, namely erosion. Erosion is caused by acids and is different to tooth decay (which I also happened to have in two spots!). She said the likely cause is dehydration. It's odd. I thought I drank a lot of water but apparently not, as the dehydration is showing up in my mouth. I don't drink that many soft drinks. I have the very occasional cup of Pepsi Max when our friend Glen comes over for dinner, but I never go out of my way to drink soft drinks on a daily basis. My massage therapists have also identified that I'm not drinking as much as I should. I've started increasing the amount of water that I'm consuming but it means that I'm running to the bathroom a lot more frequently!
On a different note, we've finally set a date for The Garage Sale. We're holding it on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of March from 9am until 2pm each day. The decluttering and organisation aspects have been challenging. We've spent all day working on it and there's still so much to do! At least we're down to the ordering and labelling aspect which is good. Drop me a message if you're interested in checking out what we have for sale!
