Mozilla released Firefox 2.0 on Tuesday. Major new features include:

  • Updated theme and user interface
  • Built-in phishing protection
  • Enhanced search capabilities using search suggestions
  • Improved tabbed browsing (new links will now open in new tabs as a default - funnily enough, this was the very first thing I changed when I downloaded earlier versions of Firefox!)
  • Resuming your browsing session
  • Previewing and subscribing to Web feeds
  • Inline spell checking

More information is viewable at the Mozilla Firefox 2 Release Notes site.

I’m just in the process of downloading and updating my version of Firefox……

Edit: Just installed it - having major issues trying to run it. Tabbed browsing is broken for me. Will have to try more troubleshooting today after work.
